Gemma and James decided to have a small intimate wedding ceremony mid-week at Hassop Hall, this was celebrated with there close family. This was so beautifully done; the registrars had such a great sense of humor and made the family feel at there ease. And what a beautiful room it was too for the ceremony, please see below.

After the couple exchanged their vows to each other, and was pronounced man and wife. The registrar went one step further and involved the mums of James and Gemma. He asked them to step forward where there was a candle display, he simply lit up 2 matches and passed one match to each of the mums, and said a few words, and then both mums lit the candle together at the same time. How simple, but o so beautiful and the same time. This was called the unity candle ceremony, this symbolizes the joining together of two families. See for your self below.

After the family had been served Champagne and canapés, the photographer whisked the couple off for a few private photos, this gave the couple time to relax and reflect.   This was finished off by a walk around the grounds of Hassop Hall, followed by more photographs. Please see below more photos.

I was most impressed by the service and attention to detail of the staff there at Hassop Hall, the family was even served more Champagne in the garden, I thought that was an extremely nice touch.

Gemma and James decided to go for the mid week lunch time package at Hassop Hall, this included the ground floor room for the ceremony, use of the reception area, gardens, and also a small intimate room upstairs for the wedding breakfast. This was just perfect for this couple, and size of this party. It just shows you that small can be beautiful. And what’s important to one couple is not necessary important to another. Everyone is different and unique.
